How to Use the Co-op Locator

The Co-op Locator is intended to help you find a co-op home in the cities of Waterloo, Kitchener, Cambridge, Brantford, or Guelph.

If you require subsidized housing, please click on the Looking for Subsidized Housing? tab before you search.

You can use the Search page which is open when you enter the site or access the Search link from any other page by clicking on the Search tab near the top of each page once you are searching for co-ops.  You can search for a co-op by using the drop down boxes on the Search page which allow you to search by City, Vacancies, and Other Features.

The listing for a co-op will show the information for that co-op and its unit types.  An upcoming vacancy may not include all of the features you are looking for so you need to contact the co-op to find out more about that unit’s specific features.

Co-op unit types that are wheelchair-accessible are shown as Accessible.  Most co-ops have some wheelchair-accessible units.  Select Accessible under Other Features to find co-ops with these units.  The number of bedrooms in these units will vary by co-op.

If you want to see all of the co-ops listed in the Locator, just select All in the three drop down boxes.
